new person: that's cool what genre are they
me: well it's complicated they started out as this really alternative punk rock sound but with these burlesque cabaret vibes you really need to listen to it to understand but it's so different to everything ever and that's the first album but then the little fuckheads took three years coming up with the next album well they went to a cabin and almost recorded a different album but that's another story so anyway the second album is a lot more acoustic and toned down and it's so beautiful it makes me cry a lot and i'd say it's sort of an alternative soft rock and then they lost two members but the third album is really awesome it's sort of mainly pop rock it's a really fun sound like it's a little more commercial you know but in a good way and wow ready to go is used in ads and stuff all the time so i guess it's more mainstream maybe but that's not a bad thing so yeah that's what they are in a nutshell
